It was one of the most fantastic paddles I've done. Harbor seals, all kinds of birds, and even a fox. And do come visit. Let me know when you are coming and I'll tell you where I'm working. And I'm off Monday - Wednesday and can give you a guided tour.Marilyn Kircushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15014565704792020948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2092848197972565272.post-22021424177984085562011-11-15T14:17:29.227-06:002011-11-15T14:17:29.227-06:00Dear Marilyn,

I've been living in the Sacramento area for over 21 years after spending 25 years in Houston, where I did some canoeing in East & Central Texas. I don't paddle much now but would like to return to it. BUT, I do loads of birdwatching, mostly in the winter, and am envious that you are working in one of my favorite refuges! I will have to ask for you and say hello when my partner and I come up for a visit soon (probably early December). Enjoy your new home!Jeanine McElwainnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2092848197972565272.post-73422599330320076392011-11-14T15:28:53.248-06:002011-11-14T15:28:53.248-06:00Oh my, it's a tough job, but somebody's go...Oh my, it's a tough job, but somebody's gotta do it! It is so inspiring seeing the two of you out on your own doing this volunteering. I'm in the midst of reading Judy from the beginning. Now I know what to do once I've finished that. Love to know the "stories" behind the blogs I find.Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00328866430156879312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2092848197972565272.post-83552414748674235382011-11-14T10:44:12.473-06:002011-11-14T10:44:12.473-06:00Okay, so I'm green with envy!!
